Artist Profile

Right now Robots in Disguise are in a bit of bother – they haven’t got enough cash to finish their fourth album! No matter, because electro-punk duo Sue Denim and Dee Plume rock aren’t letting that get in their way. New single ‘Wake Up’ (a kind of mash up of Peaches-esque glamour and the yelping of X-Ray Spex) is due for release this summer, and they’ve got a ton of live dates too – not bad for an act that spend half their time between Berlin and London. Originally the pair met while studying politics at Liverpool University, but today you can catch them all over the shop, and may well recognise them from guest appearances on both the Mighty Boosh’s TV show and as a warm act for the surrealist Brit comics touring theatre show, too.
